Here at Lakeshore we use ParentSquare, the PTA-sponsored communication platform, for all school communications. All new families are added to ParentSquare upon entering Lakeshore. However, you will need to activate your account in order to have the best experience – either via their website ParentSquare.com or via their App (App Store | Google Play Store).
Please look for an email from ParentSquare with the subject line “Activate Your ParentSquare Account at Lakeshore” and activate your account through the personalized link. All new families will receive this email few days before school starts after we receive class assignments from school administration. New families entering Lakeshore after school started can expect to receive this email within 2 weeks.

When you receive a post from ParentSquare, it will be labeled as name of School, Class, or Group. By default, you belong to the School (Lakeshore Elementary), your child(ren)’s Class(es) (Grade: Room #), and two Groups (Paw Print Press and Schoolwide Bulletin Board). You cannot leave (unsubscribe) School and Class but you can leave any Groups (or rejoin later). You can comment to all but you can only post to your Class and Schoolwide Bulletin Board.
Post | Labeled As | What is it, from who? | Can You Leave? | Can you Post or Comment? |
School | Lakeshore Elementary | Announcements from school administration including weekly school administrative bulletin on Mondays | No | Comment only |
Class | Grade: Room # | Communications from your child’s teacher or parents in same class | No | Post and comment |
Group | Paw Print Press | What you are looking at now, Lakeshore’s weekly newsletter | Yes | Comment only |
Group | Schoolwide Bulletin Board | Lakeshore’s online bulletin board that can be from anyone at Lakeshore | Yes | Post and comment |
When posting to Schoolwide Bulletin Board, please be mindful that each post goes out to over 500 people in this group. If you have questions, please direct them to people who are responsible in the area or visit our very informative website.
We also have other groups available that you may be invited to join. Anyone can also start an interest group.
We hope to connect with you soon on ParentSquare! If you had any questions please send email to ParentSquare Admins (ps-admin@LakeshoreElementary.org).
