Join Kathleen White and our Lakeshore’s own Marlene Bazdarich for a discussion about why elementary school-age children need to move and engage in physical and emotional risk-taking. Learn how these common behaviors help with sensory integration and equip children to manage the demands of adolescence.

Kathleen White has been teaching in the Child Development & Family Studies Department at CCSF since 1995, and served as Department Chair for 10 years. She has 3 adult sons, was a parent at Lakeshore for 17 years, and now has two young grandchildren.
Marlene Bazdarich is a child development expert specializing in sensory integration and expressive arts. She has an administrative credential in child development and a BA in psychology. Marlene‘s two children are Lakeshore alumni.
