School meals are free for all SFUSD students
During the 2021-2022 school year, Federal waivers have made it possible for us to provide no cost school meals for all students enrolled in SFUSD. Starting in the 2022-2023 school year, thanks to the new California Universal Meals Program we will continue to serve free meals to all students.
At Lakeshore, breakfast and lunch are available free to all students; supper is available free to those enrolled in after school programs.
- Breakfast is served when the school gate opens at 9:10am in the cafeteria. (If you came in from the gate in the upper yard, the cafeteria is through the first door on your right.)
- Lunch is served at different times for different grades, please see our Bell Schedule.
- All meals are nutritionally balanced, with whole fruit, vegetable sides, and optional milk.
- Even if your child brings lunch from home, he/she can go grab a free milk, fruit or vegetable.
