Congratulations on receiving your assignment letter and welcome to Lakeshore Elementary School! We are looking forward to meeting all the new families who will be joining us in the coming school year. You will receive more information when you register at the school but we wanted to give you a few important dates so you can get to know the wonderful school, our incredible teachers, and experience a bit of the Lakeshore community before your student begins this fall.
- Monday, March 24: Welcome coffee and tour. Whether you need a refresher or are visiting for the first time, we welcome you to get to know a bit more about Lakeshore Elementary. Meet at 10am in the Lobby for coffee and discussion. Tour begins at 11am in the Lobby.
- Wednesday, March 26, 6pm – 8pm: Open House and Science Fair. Come meet the incredible teachers, walk through the classrooms, and see the work done this year by the students. Visit our Science Fair and learn from our budding scientists.
- Saturday, April 26, 11am – 4pm: Superhero Saturday: Carnival and Auction: Please join us an amazing superhero-themed carnival with activities, games and entertainment for the whole family. There will be live music and DJs, a costume parade, a costume contest (for grown up superheroes) and great food — plus lots of terrific activities sponsored by businesses such as Sports Basement and Camp Edmo. Browse through our silent auction and pick up some fantastic gift cards, vacations, art or other merchandise!
- Tuesday, April 29, 6:00pm: Annual Art of Childhood Gala: Please join us for the Annual Art of Childhood Gala featuring the artwork of Lakeshore students. This year we are fortunate to combine this popular event with a night AIM (Adventures In Music) concert. The popular Caribbean Express will perform beginning promptly at 6:30. Doors open at 6:00 and the evening will end by 7:30. Refreshments will be provided. Don’t miss this fabulous evening!
- Summer playdates: Get to know other new students and families and meet current Lakeshore families. Ask questions or just have a great day with new friends. Let us know if you’re a new family entering 1st – 5th grades and we’ll try to get families from your grades to attend.

- Saturday, August 9, 11am -1pm: Kindergarten Yard at Lakeshore Elementary — 220 Middlefield Drive
- August 11 -15: Everyday Magic, Inc. Junior Camp: Our well established child development center offers this camp to help new, younger students acclimate to the Lakeshore environment the week before school starts. http://everyday-magic.org/summer_camp
- Thursday, August 14, 6-7:30pm: New Family Orientation: You and your students can meet the teachers and learn about your exciting Lakeshore journey.
- Monday, August 18, 9:30am: School begins: It’s the first day of your new adventure at Lakeshore!
