Volunteer Positions Available and NEEDED!
If you are able to take on any one of these jobs, please see Ms. Keener by Friday, May 20th! Your help and service is greatly needed for the following positions:

  • Set up and manage a Lakeshore email distribution list-Our goal is to send our newsletter and other important documents and information to you via email.
  • Set up and update a Thank You board – We want to show ongoing appreciation and gratitude for our fabulous volunteers
  • Send out Student Placement forms – To date we have 4 volunteers to take on this important task. If you would like to help with this, please submit your name and email address to Ms. Keener by May 27th.

Last Scrip Order of the School Year
Don’t forget to order scrip for your summer shopping! Orders submit- ted by 5/16 will be delivered by 5/23.
A scrip order form and retailer list came home with your child, but you can also get them from lakeshoreelementary.org under “Forms & Documents.”Questions? Contact Tess Napili

Attention 4th Grade Parents!
It is a tradition at Lakeshore that the 4th Grade parents help during the 5th Grade promotion festivities. It is our job to prep and serve food, and clean up the community room and kitchen after their ceremony. This will take place on Friday, May 27 – 9:00 a.m. to about noon. Please call Toni Vedar

Open enrollment for After School Mandarin Program
There are a few seats available in After School Mandarin Program. Tuition $ 900 per school year.+ $25 one-time, non-refundable registration fee. Program time: 3:35pm-5:00pm. In order to re- serve your spot in a class, you must submit an enrollment form and a $450 check for first semes- ter tuition. If you have any questions regarding the program, please contact Ellen Lin or Elaine Gong.

Young At Art
The San Francisco Unified School District’s annual Young at Art is an 8 day celebration of student creativity in visual, literary, media and performing arts hosted by the world renowned de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park from May 14-22, 2011 (closed Monday, May 16, 2011). Everyone is invited to attend The Gala, a community celebration, which takes place on Friday, May 20 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. It’s a fabulous evening for students, parents, and teachers to attend. Lakeshore has a long tradition of participation in this event. Many of our artists will have work on display at this year’s show. Congratulations to our artists!
