Dear Lakeshore Families,
Welcome, and welcome back!

This is an exciting time to be at Lakeshore Elementary.  Our school has received significant improvements and upgrades to the classrooms and yards with the ongoing ADA construction. The Greening funds provided by the district means vast “green” improvements to our school and to our already fantastic Garden Program. Our solar panel, through a PG&E Program, offers new directions for science and enquiry at Lakeshore, with the added potential for grant funding.  And with imminent budget cuts, we have seen parents step up to the plate as board members for the PTA and as Chairs for the many school wide events we host. This is a time when you as parents can contribute to your child’s growth and education.  This is a school that cherishes the interactions and feedback between parents, teachers and staff to make the educational experience memorable and to nurture the whole child.  As PTA president, I work closely with Principal Keener to make sure the parent body can offer full support to the teachers and the school in general, and I believe that is one reason you have chosen Lakeshore as your school.  The quality education offered by the teachers, with an emphasis on differentiated learning and respect, and the educational support offered by staff, consultants and parents makes Lakeshore a unique educational experience for your child.
