Announcements – August 24

Volunteering at Lakeshore
Your ongoing support and participation in serving all of our children at Lakeshore is needed and greatly valued.    However, the focus in our classrooms must be on the children enrolled in the class. Having younger siblings and children present can detract from the teaching and learning and be very disruptive. We appreciate your understanding that when volunteering in classrooms, on the yard or in the cafe, please remember that the focus must be on children enrolled at Lakeshore and younger siblings and small children may interfere with teaching and learning and other school day activities. Your cooperation and understanding is appreciated. – Ms. Keener

Be a Lakeshore Room Parent!
Sign up to be a Room Parent for your child’s class. Room Parents are essential to the overall experience of children in the classroom. Room Parents work directly with the teacher to coordinate volunteers for parties, field trips, activities (i.e. Motor Perception, Theater, Art, etc) and various other duties. If you are interested in taking on this important role, please email your name, child’s name, room number/teacher, and phone number to Heather Baria or return the form that came home with your child. A Room Parent information meeting will be held prior to the start of the first PTA meeting on Wednesday, September 7th at 6:30 p.m.
Remember, there can be several Room Parents per class. Therefore, do not hesitate to sign up if you are interested.
Heather Baria, Room Parent Coordinator
