This Saturday, November 7, join our Gardening instructor Martha Luna and parents and students from our neighbor Lowell High School to build water catchment systems and help with other greening projects.
The day will include a presentation by experts from Tap the Sky and the Tuolumne River Trust. Learn about water catchment systems and how to conserve water while maintaining a beautiful garden. Come from 9:30 to noon (lunch included), or noon-2:30 (snacks), or for the whole day (lunch! and snacks!).
Volunteers will work on the following projects:
- Rainwater catchment system / rain garden team:
- 1st Grade Garden: Weeding and Trimming
- 1st Grade Yard Hillside Team – Make sure the hillside holds up to the El Nino rains
- Construction team: repairs and enhancements
- Learning garden: maintenance, weeding, and planting
- Blueberry Hill: irrigation and watering

- Upper Playground concrete planter maintenance
