Room Parents serve as the liaison between the teacher and the class parents as well as the PTA and the class parents.
As a Room Parent, you consult with the teacher to determine his or her needs and then help make those things happen by enlisting the help of other parents/guardians.
Depending on the preferences of your child’s teacher, your duties may include:
- Coordinating classroom activities and volunteer schedules
- Planning class parties and events
- Organizing teacher gifts and needed supplies throughout the year
- Communicating about and assisting with school-wide events
