First Day of School / Welcome Coffee — Monday, August 19, 2013
Enjoy a cup of coffee on us. Please join us in the Community Room after you drop-off your child for our Welcome Coffee, provided by the PTA. This is a great opportunity to meet other families from your child’s class and grade level (and maybe console one another-tissues available!). Come and find out about different ways that you can be involved in your child’s class, and school community by donating your time. Sign up sheets will be available. There is something there for everyone.
Ice Cream Social — Friday, Aug 23, 2013
Please join us the in the top yard at 2:00pm. Lakeshore Elementary’s PTA and principal Hartford will be hosting their first Ice Cream Social, to celebrate the first week of school, for all families. Mark your calendars and don’t miss this very special event.
PTA General Meeting — Tuesday, Sep 3, 2013, 6:30pm
We invite you to attend our 1st General Meeting of the year. We will discuss our upcoming events, fundraisers, and our budget. Our Room Parent Coordinator will be sharing information on what it means to become a Room Parent and the many ways to become involved at the school.
Back to School / Orientation — Thursday, Sep 12, 2013, 6:30pm
Back to School Night provides the first opportunity of the school year for 1st to 5th grade parents and guardians to interact with their child’s teacher and learn about the classroom management, expectations, and curriculum for the school year. Your child’s teacher will also share their classroom wish list, volunteer opportunities and there will be a presentation from your Room Parent about what your class’s needs are. We recommend ALL parents or guardians attend this very important evening.
