Avoiding Power Struggles While Raising a Powerful Child
Parents and guardians can learn common areas of conflict with school-age children, the developmental reasons for power struggles and how to view the conflict from all perspectives. Strategies for managing differences in family needs will be discussed.
We are proud to present our first guest speaker, Kathleen White. She has been a faculty member of the Child Development & Family Studies Department at CCSF for over 22 years and was Department Chair for 10 years. She enjoys sharing child development content with families. She has 3 adult sons, was a parent at Lakeshore for 17 years, and now has two young grandchildren.
