It’s Super. It’s Saturday. It’s… SUPERHERO SATURDAY

The mega-event of the Spring is almost upon us. The Third Annual Superhero Saturday is shaping up to be an incredibly spectacular event. Don’t miss it:

SATURDAY, APRIL 23: 11am – 3pm

This year’s booths:

  • Giant Jenga: Compete with your friends to see who will be the one to knock over the tower!
  • Superhero Duck Pond: Go fishing for some super ducks. Find a Lakeshore duck and win a special prize!
  • Target Practice: Who can knock off the ping pong ball first?
  • Avengers Disks: Get the disks through the targets.
  • Spidey’s Web Slinger: Can you defeat Doc Ock?
  • Captain Hook: Can you get the rings on his hooks?
  • Hulk Strength Tester: How strong are you?
  • Wonder Woman: Are you as accurate as this Amazon warrior?
  • Ring Toss: It looks easy…
  • Fire Ninja: Plug up the volcano before it erupts!
  • Bounce House: Practice your jumping skills.

 

Special Events and Food:

  • Limbo Contest
  • Superhero Parade and Pose
  • (Cup)Cake Walk
  • Horses! Thanks to The Horsemen’s Association!
  • Hot dogs and nachos
  • Cotton Candy
  • Music and Dancing
  • Gardening and art booth: Decorate a pot and plant flowers – perfect for Mother’s Day!

 

Special Guests: Steve and Kate’s Animation Booth! Learn how the create stop-motion animation.

Tickets will be available at the event. Games are $1 each. Meal Deal for $5 (hot dog, chips, drink and cookie).

Needed: Super People and Stuff!

The following items are needed to make Superhero Saturday fantastic! All items can be brought to the Staff Lounge. Please label all items “SUPERHERO SATURDAY” and put your name on items you’d like returned. Non-food items can be brought anytime. Food items should be brought no earlier than Friday, April 22. Volunteers needed for:

  • Food booth: Help prepare / sell lunch and drinks
  • Ticket/Prize booth: Sell tickets and give prizes
  • Games: Help the Lowell students with our games
  • Set up/Break down: Let’s make it happen!

Food and equipment!

  • Crock Pots: For warming hot dogs and NACHOS!
  • Paper Towels: There will be more than a few messes!
  • Cupcakes and other goodies: Superheroes need sugary goodness to fuel their powers!
